DAY 4: INDIAN GARDEN TO SOUTH RIM

     We are up just before sunrise, eat breakfast, pack our gear, and hit the trail.  There is a little light, intermittent rain, so I put on my rain jacket.  Before long we reach the 3 mile rest house.  After a short break, we continue up until reaching the 1.5 mile rest house.  Indian Garden is far below us.

     We are back on the trail for the last stretch.  As we approach the rim, pictures at one of the two small tunnels are in order.

     We reach the rim about 11:00 and stop at the Lookout Studio for a little post-hike shopping before heading to Albuquerque for the night and then on to Oklahoma the next day.
