The Cliff Spring Trail is one of those really nice short hikes. The
trailhead is next to a turnoff on the Cape Royal Road just before reaching the
Angel's Window and Cape Royal Point parking lot. The trail begins on the
west side of the road and begins a gradual descent next to a creek bed. It
is only one-half mile to the spring, which is lush with ferns. The spring
is similar to Dripping Springs on the South Rim in that water drips from a cliff
overhang and forms a pool beneath. If you are visiting the Angel's Window
or Cape Royal Point, this is a short hike you will enjoy.
