The Cape Final Trail begins about three miles north of Cape Royal on the east
side of Cape Royal Road where there is a dirt parking lot. The trail is an
old road and is very easy walking. After a gradual climb, you reach a "Y"
in the trail. The left fork leads to the first view of the inner Canyon.
Continuing to the right leads to another "Y" with a better inner Canyon view on
its left fork. The trail now transitions from an old road to a true single
path trail that leads to the actual point. Some very minor scrambling is
required to get on top of some rocks and reach Cape Final Point. You are
then treated to another great view of the inner Canyon and one of the Geological
Survey brass markers.
