I am up early, eat, pack, and start out around 7:00. This is the climb I have left to the top. It is dauntingly vertical. The temperature is quite cool, so I leave my fleece jacket on. The climb has gone well since I am fresh and it is cool. I pass several groups headed for the bottom. As I approach the top, I am encouraged as I near the large rocks by the trailhead. As always, the inner Canyon views are great.
In just under two hours, I reach the trailhead sign. I throw my stuff in the car and head for Oklahoma. MAIN INDEX | HIKING INDEX | BACK TO DAY 5 | FORWARD TO POSTSCRIPT
